Sadiah Boonstra is curator en academicus werkzaam in Nederland en Indonesië. Ze promoveerde aan de Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam met het proefschrift Changing Wayang Scenes. Heritage Formation and Wayang Performance Practice in Colonial and Postcolonial Indonesia (2014).
Momenteel is ze Asia Scholar aan de Universiteit van Melbourne en curator van openbare programma’s bij Asia TOPA, Melbourne. Haar onderzoek en interesse als curator richten zich op de culturele geschiedenis, het erfgoed en de podiumkunsten van koloniaal en hedendaags Indonesië, in relatie tot Nederland en de manier waarop ze vertegenwoordigd zijn in musea.
Sadiah is de curator van de expositie On the Nature of Botanical Gardens (2020) bij Framer Framed in Amsterdam.
