Dr. Sadiah Boonstra is een in Jakarta gevestigde historicus en curator die zich inzet voor een herziening van ons begrip van koloniale en postkoloniale verhalen in Azië-Pacific en Europa. Ze is oprichter en eigenaar van CultureLab Consultancy, een sociale onderneming voor museum- en tentoonstellingsdiensten in Indonesië. CultureLab is betrokken bij het onderzoeksconsortium Colonial Power and Knowledge, dat het koloniale verleden van de Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen (KNAW) onderzoekt. Als senior onderzoeker aan de Gadjah Mada Universiteit is Sadiah betrokken bij het door NWO gefinancierde onderzoeksproject Exploring New Futures for Indonesian Objects: Dismantling Colonial Knowledge Production and Recovering Lost Histories and Memories. Eerder werkte Sadiah bij instellingen als het Indonesisch Erfgoedagentschap, Melbourne University/Art Centre Melbourne, National Gallery Singapore, The British Museum/Royal Holloway University en Tropenmuseum.
