    Opening: Pressing Matters

Please feel welcome to join us for the opening of our new exhibition Pressing Matters, on 29 March, 17:00! Pressing Matters (30 March – 27 May 2018) features 24 artists from Indonesia, brought together by artist Kevin van Braak. Split up into three interconnected parts, the exhibition addresses pressing socio-political issues in Indonesia. The space will be transformed into a printing workshop, focusing specifically on local collective practices, mutual exchange, activism, and the boundaries and overlaps between art and craft.

The opening on 29 March is in presence of artist and initiator Kevin van Braak and artist Ipeh Nur. Ipeh Nur (1993, Yogyakarta) was invited to the Netherlands to create a new site-specific work commissioned for the exhibition, in the downstairs hallways of the Tolhuistuin.

Ipeh Nur poseert voor haar werk Bungah Merah over de volkerenmoord op de Banda eilanden, in de Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam (2018)
