Audrey Gaughran took up the role as
SOMO’s Executive Director in 2021. For the past 25 years, she has worked as an human rights and environmental advocate in roles at Amnesty International, the Natural Resource Governance Institute and a number of grassroots environmental organisations. As Director of Global Issues at Amnesty International, Gaughran has led teams of investigators, lawyers and campaigners working on economic and social rights, global arms trade, corporate accountability, the death penalty, refugee and migrant rights and technology and human rights.
