Boekenbeurs: Notes to Other Futures
To celebrate the more-than-fifteen-year history of Framer Framed, and the launch of our new anniversary publication, we’re hosting a book fair!
We view publishing as a means of sharing resources, thinking collectively and focusing on the accessibility of ideas as well as the final product. So for this book fair, we’re also hosting many collectives, artists, activists and independent publishers who contribute to a rich culture of subversive publishing and engage with urgent topics at the intersection of research, politics, art and culture.
At the centre of the fair is the publication Notes to Other Futures: Fifteen Years of Framer Framed. This new anthology explores the ongoing development of alternative practices at Framer Framed and the continuous engagement in radical pedagogy, community organising and collaborative exhibition-making – re-examining history from a multiplicity of perspectives.
In the spirit of this approach, we’ve invited old friends, long-time collaborators, admired peers and future friends to share their own books and publishing practices. Throughout the day, you can visit the stands of each publisher, enjoy food and drinks provided by The Migrant Kitchen & Het Rode Keukentje, and join for the book presentation and anniversary party.
This presentation is also a moment to thank all our collaborators and visitors for their support over the years. We hope to welcome you to Framer Framed again – or for the very first time – on Saturday 23 May 2026, 11:00-20:00.
