Citizens for Reclaiming Our Land from Gunsan US Military Base was formed voluntarily by Gunsan citizens in 1998, in response to environmental pollution, damages to residents, and noise issues caused by the US military base. Since 1998, they have been working to shine a light on the unequal relationship between the Republic of Korea and the United States through various resistance campaigns, including Wednesday rallies in front of the Gunsan US military base’s main gate. They continue to build solidarity between communities in the impacted regions of Asia that struggle against US military bases in particular, such as the Korean peninsula and Okinawa, Japan.

새만금시민생태조사단은 만경강과 동진강 하구(서울면적의 2/3)에 대한 정부의 새만금 개발사업에 대항하여 만들어진 비영리단체이다. 2003년 12월부터 시민이 새만금을 직접 모니터링 하는 것만이 새만금을 바로 알릴 수 있는 힘이 된다고 생각하며 활동을 이어오고 있다. 활동들은 자발적으로 모인 시민들의 힘으로 진행되고 있다.
