Dr Blake Ewing is a Smithsonian Research Fellow and Politics Lecturer at Hertford College, University of Oxford. His work is mainly in the area of political theory, with a focus on the politics of time. He is involved in a number of collaborative projects to do with the politics and competing temporalities of the Anthropocene, along with a collaboration with museum curators and researchers at the Washington DC-based Smithsonian Institution on the impact of Covid-19 on conservation priorities.

He holds a Doctorate from the University of Oxford, an MSc in political theory from the London School of Economics, and a BA from Colorado College, majoring in political science. Before his studies in Oxford he worked at the World Bank and as a journalist, writing mainly for The Economist.
