Farzan Sojoodi (1961) is a professor of semiotics at the University of Arts in Tehran. He has published books in Persian on semiotics and discourse theory including Applied Semiotics (2003 [2014]), Semiotics: Theory and Practice (2009 [2010]), Semiotics and Literature (2005), Discursive Critical Semiotics (2014), and several articles, mostly in Persian, on contemporary Iranian culture, art and literature.
