Amy Pekal

Amy Pekal (b.1993) is an artist, researcher and writer currently living and working in the Netherlands. In her practice, she examines how dominant ideologies shape our understanding of the natural world. Through long-term, durational investigations, Pekal investigates and constructs environments that provoke observation, participation, and co-creation with the world. Through fieldwork, she collects material and immaterial data; field sketches, conversations, earth, stones and sounds to form textured portraits of sites and the communities that commit to the care and ongoing of life’s processes.
