weaving stories #2: Co-creating conditions of possibilities at the end of the world as we know
On 13 June, the second iteration of weaving stories takes place at Framer Framed. Artist-researcher ro heinrich invites research collaborators Erin Manning, Tyson Yunkaporta, fabrice dubosc, Reschooling With, the ARIAS network, among others, to delve deeper into practices of relationality.
What radical pedagogies, postures, and shifts in perception may offer openings towards vital learning/unlearning processes?
In this second session of the weaving stories series, participants are invited to study The Being of Relation, a film fragment featuring the voice of Erin Manning. In between, they read together and engage with short texts expanding on the living concepts addressed in the film work, moving with a world in movement, within an aesthetics of the earth (thinking with Édouard Glissant, Fred Moten, Erin Manning). They attempt to face the implications of what it might mean to be ‘made by the world’ (Erin Manning) and to live beyond identity politics (Brian Massumi).
Places are limited so please register your attendance here.
About
weaving stories is a series by ARIAS in which an artist-researcher is invited to share their practice unfolding over several sessions together with participants; all are welcome to join. In these critical times when the scope of exchanges is consistently reduced, we would like to offer spaces for an ecology of practices, where different perspectives and ways of knowing may be engaged relationally towards difference without separability.
The series is co-curated by ro heinrich and fabrice dubosc, in collaboration with ARIAS, Framer Framed and Reschooling With.
This event is in English. Admission is free.
