Cutting Through: A Queer Collage Workshop

Cutting Through is a collage workshop for queer and trans participants and their allies, led by queer visual artist Pauli Mast. It’s inspired by the themes of installation THE TAIL by MAISON the FAUX – transformation, silence, and not quite fitting in – and offers a space to explore these ideas through visual storytelling.

Participants work with a mix of materials like magazines, newspapers, photographs, fabrics and text and will be guided with prompts that invite reflection on themes like visibility, connection, and self-expression. The process is hands-on, personal and intuitive. No previous art experience is needed – the workshop is open to everyone who wants to join with care and curiosity.

Please sign up here.

This workshop is part of the initiative to open up THE TAIL as a space for queer and trans communities to connect, create and share. Framer Framed welcomes proposals from collectives, artists and organisers who wish to host public or community-based events in the installation.

This workshop is in English. Admission is free.

Do you also think art should be free and accessible? Please consider supporting us with a donation when registering or by becoming a Framer Framed Friend!

The event may be photographed and filmed. Kindly let us know in advance if you prefer not to have your picture taken.
