Screening of the documentary Image Acts (2015) from Aylin Kuryel is part of her thesis Image Acts and Visual Communities: Everyday Nationalism in Contemporary Turkey. Kuryel resarches the connection between  nationalism and perception, by focusing on ‘image acts’ and ‘visual communities’. She is associated with the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA) from the University of Amsterdam.
