Framer Framed: The Estranged Gaze
Casco, Office for Art, Design and Theory, presents The Antagonistic Link, an initiative of Electric Palm Tree, an ongoing project for transnational artistic research.
The starting point for the exhibition is Nam June Paik‘s historical satellite event Bye Bye Kipling (1986). The Antagonistic Link presents, in addition to this work, three other projects by artists and designers from South Korea that seek to make transnational connections in the form of an agnostic process. These works explore the constructive possibilities for overcoming a sense of distance and antagonism which can be seen as the paradoxical product of globalisation.
