Workshop: All Access Archive
On 5 April, join the third instalment of the workshop series, All Access Archive (AAA), a virtual archive space and research project initiated by artists Minhu Jun and Özgür Deniz Koldaş. During the four-hour workshop, the artists will be editing and remixing a series of images brought by the audience. As the hands of the clock circulate, so will the designs, ending with a set of collectively designed postcards.
AAA, inspired by the copyleft movement and the current discussions around AI and authorship, aims to establish an open-source archive platform that gathers works from designers and artists, for them to be freely shared and accessed by others, ideally for the facilitation of new works and research. Through its open-source and all-access approach, the archive serves not only as a repository, but also as a resource for the further critical examination of authorship and copyright. Through workshops and other public events, such as showcases, readings and open calls, AAA slowly expands their archive while focusing on communal practices and mutual-aid.
Places are limited, please register here.
About
studio salt, pepper, and peace is a design duo based in Amsterdam, run by Minhu Jun (she/her) & Özgür Deniz Koldaş (he/him). Working together since 2023, they initially teamed up through a joint interest in archival practices, and multi-disciplinary relations within design and arts. Alongside producing visual identities and websites for artists and institutions, they self-publish a graphic design magazine called irregular and run All Access Archive.
AAA is made possible by het Stimuleringsfonds Creative Industrie and Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst.
