Ebissé Wakjira is publications, magazine and podcast coordinator at Framer Framed. In addition to the exhibition catalog, she coordinates research-based publications that serve as a catalyst for dialogue between modern art museums, ethnographic museums, and heritage institutions. Selected publications for Framer Framed published include Emptying the Shelves (2024), Dealing with the Real Stuff (2024), Slamming Doors (2024) and Walvistraan (2023). Ebissé is currently working on Framer Framed’s anniversary book, with contributions from curators, artists, and researchers from Framer Framed’s past and present.
She is the co-founder of the Dipsaus Podcast and Dipsaus Books, an editor at De Nederlandse Boekengids. Before joining Framer Framed, she worked at Amsterdam University Press as an acquisitions editor for non-fiction and at the Dutch Council for Culture, advising the government on arts, culture and media.
She is a board member of De Podcastnetwerk, Huis van het Boek (oldest book museum in the world) Musea Bekennen Kleur and the International Institute of Social History.
