Massih Hutak Massih Hutak
Massih Hutak (b. 1992) is an author and artist originally from Afghanistan. He fled at the age of six, through Pakistan to the Netherlands. After traveling through the Netherlands as a refuge for several years, he has lived in Amsterdam since 2001.
In August 2011 Hutak made his debut as the youngest author to be published by the publisher Contact with the book Toen God Nog in Ons Geloofde. He contributed to various events such as the Uitmark, Manuscripta, Crossing Border and Eurosonic Noorderslag. He produced his first album Onderweg naar Huis (2012) together with his friend Kerem. Since 2014 he has been a columnist for the Dutch national newspaper Volkskrant.
For Framer Framed he directed the play Aisha (2014) to accompany the exhibition Crisis of History #1, curated by Robert Kluijver. He also gave a guided tour of The disappearing of art in Amsterdam-Noord with Chris Keulemans in 2018, organised by Framer Framed.
