Winchester School of Art is recognised as an international centre for research in global art, design, and media and, as part of the University of Southampton – a Russell Group, research-intensive university – it enjoys a reputation as a world leader in research.
Winchester School of Art engages in creative and critical practices across a wide range of research interests. They disseminate their work through internationally recognised publications and exhibitions, as well as collaborating with a number of local and international partners in the wider public sphere. Research connects directly with everything the School does and informs teaching at all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and postgraduate research.
Across all areas of research, they engage in both material and intellectual practices as specific ways and means of thinking in order to produce critical knowledge and innovative objects.
