Patrick Abungu

Patrick Abungu is the manager of the South Coast Region heritage sites at the National Museums of Kenya. He also works as a Senior Curator of Shimoni Slavery Museum and Heritage Site and is in the process of establishing a museum based on the theme of slavery and slave trade. In 2010, he received his Master in Museology at the Reinwardt Academy in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.Patrick Abungu was a guest for the panel discussion Cultural Heritage and Knowledge on 7 November 2010 at Framer Framed, in collaboration with Arts Collaboratory and Reinwardt Academy.

Since 2016, he has also been the Senior Curator at the Kisumu Museum in Kisumu City, Kenya.
