Kourosh

Kourosh is an Iranian Dutch, singer, producer, and songwriter who kicked of his musical career in March 2020. Kourosh is the son of an Iranian singer and instrumentalist. Kourosh released his debut EP How I Used My Memory in March 2020. Aside from writing his lyrics, Kourosh also produces his own tracks which leads to an original sound. He creates a melancholic mix of trip hop, trap and r&b. Important themes in his music are institutional racism and family trauma. Kourosh’ family fled Iran in 1993. October 2020 marked the release of his first Iranian single named Golab. Writing songs in Farsi is an expression of his never-ending search of his true identity. His most recent release was Psycho – released in may 2021- a song that gives a glimpse of the life of a migrant family.
