Genade
Genade (she/her) was born in Uganda and has been in The Netherlands for five years. She has been active in LIMBO since it started in 2022. In 2024, Genade joined the spaceholders team for the LIMBO collective workshops for queer refugees. She has been a volunteer leader for the Phoenix LGBTQ+ group and has been a spaceholder for the HVO support group in Amsterdam. When she first joined LIMBO, Genade felt timid and vulnerable and she wanted someone to hold space for her because of the situation she was in. LIMBO did that for her. Because of this, she felt it was important to hold space for others who are in the same situation she was in. Genade: “I am just grateful to belong to the LIMBO family because it has made me what I am today. So proud.”
