Fei Yining

Fei Yining (b. 1990) lives and works in Shanghai. Working across moving image, installation and sculpture, she seeks to build new topologies of the moving image at the intersections of art, history and technology, exploring the mythic force of natural narratives and their potential to shape planetary storytelling. Drawing on research at the intersections of ecology, biology and history, Fei collages fictional and factual materials to generate alternative histories and speculative futures, presenting the intricate entanglements of nature, myth and technology while seeking to foster dialogues across species.
