Creative holiday workshop for children
On 5 August, Framer Framed organises a creative workshop for children aged 8 and over, led by artist and educator Naomi Rosheuvel. During this workshop, children draw inspiration from the tapestry Threads of Our Dutch Slavery Past. Together, they discover the stories hidden within the tapestry and discuss history, identity and what connects us all.
The participants then get creative themselves, working with colours, shapes and symbols. They explore questions such as: Which people are important to you? And which memories, traditions or events are part of your family’s history? In this way, children discover how they can translate personal stories into images and textiles, and create their own artwork in which their own history is brought to life.
The maximum number of participants is 15. Please register by emailing educatie@framerframed.nl.
