Lene ter Haar

Lene ter Haar is a contemporary art curator and cultural critic. Working from an interdisciplinary background involving architecture, music, dance and literature. She is the Senior Officer for Culture and Communication at the Dutch Consulate General in Düsseldorf, where she fosters collaboration in visual arts, literature, and the creative industries. Previously, she served as artistic director and curator at institutions including SCHUNCK (Heerlen), Museum De Domeinen (Sittard), and Ludwig Forum (Aachen) and has worked internationally as an independent curator. She writes on contemporary art, public space, and participation and advises Dutch and German cultural bodies. She has co-authored publications such as Recipes for the Future, a project reflecting cultural responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
