Dorin Budușan (he/him) is a visual artist, writer, and researcher from Transylvania, Romania, based in Amsterdam. A graduate of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (DOGtime – Unstable Media), his work explores narratives of (re)enchantment specifically in the context of Eastern European identities and cultural heritage. Drawing on folklore and mythology from Romania and beyond, he creates photo and audio-video installations where nature, objects, ghosts, and spirits speak for themselves. Through enchantment, Budușan imagines alternatives to extractivist worldviews, offering poetic responses to the contemporary (Western) crisis of imagination.
