Gustavo García López is an engaged scholar, educator, and organiser from Puerto Rico. His work centres on advancing decolonial and eco-social transitions. He is currently a researcher at the Center for Social Studies, University of Coimbra, where he co-ordinates the Ecology and Society Workshop (ECOSOC). He is a co-founding member of Post-Extractive Futures, a collective facilitating movement encounters for regenerative futures, and Undisciplined Environments, a political ecology blog. He lives uprooted from his lands but finds home and guiding stars in his daughter Maia and his family of the heart, and the many people, spirits, memories, and ecologies that sustain life.
