Amsterdam Museum
The Amsterdam Museum cares for more than 100,000 objects, collected over almost five centuries. This has resulted in a diverse collection of objects – from regent portraits and cityscapes to the wedding rings of the world’s first gay wedding. The Museum connects residents and visitors of Amsterdam with each other and with the city through exhibitions and public and educational programs.
The new Amsterdam Museum is expected to open in 2025, on the occasion of the city’s 750th anniversary. It will include larger museum galleries with more space for the collection, temporary presentations, and education.
