Liza Voetman

Liza Voetman works as a writer, researcher and teacher. She is interested in the question of a new conceptualization of the critical counter voice of art within the neoliberal political condition in the present. Her current research focuses on the changing circumstances of (artistic) production in the context of the (post)academy. After graduating from AKV St. Joost (BA Fine Arts) and the MA Art and Cultural Studies (Art, Media and Society) at Tilburg University, she wrote among others for Metropolis M, Jegens & Tevens and Kunsthuis SYB and was commissioned by a.o. Arcadia, EKWC and Onomatopee. In addition, she moderates artist talks and discussions (such as for Het Van Abbemuseum and Het Noordbrabants Museum), works at art initiative PARK (Tilburg) and is a board member of Residency For The People (Eindhoven). She was previously a participant in the Arts/Science: Academy Honours Programme for Young Artists and Scientists of the KNAW 2019.
