Sorryyoufeeluncomfortable

Sorryyoufeeluncomfortable (SYFU) is a London-based collective consisting of thinkers, creators, and activists of mixed interests. The group was formed after Baldwin’s Nigger Reloaded, a project created by artist Barby Asante in collaboration with curator Teresa Cisneros. This project was inspired by Horace Ove’s 1969 film that documents James Baldwin and Dick Gregory at the West Indian Student Centre addressing and comparing the black experience of New York to that of London. This ongoing project resulted in the formation of SYFU. The collective is constantly investigating social inequalities by hosting concerts, exhibitions, and conversations accompanied by critical writing and their own publication. Most of the actions of Sorryyoufeeluncomfortable are currently taking place in London while they have started presenting their work in other cities as well.
