Oogstfeest Molentuin met 4Siblings bij Framer Framed Noord
On Wednesday 23 September 2026, Framer Framed Noord, together with 4Siblings and the gardening group, celebrate the end of the first season in the Molentuin. From 15.00 to 16.00, there’s a private session during which the gardening group reflects on the past year. Between 16.00 and 17.00, everyone is welcome to enjoy soup made from the garden’s produce and listen to stories about various harvest traditions.
The Molentuin has only been in existence for one season, but this late summer it is joining the historic tradition of harvest festivals: celebrations held when the harvest has been brought in from the fields. All over the world, there are traditions where people come together at this time of year. Often, they share a meal made from the harvest and create decorations from the flowers. The residents of the Molenwijk are no exception as they celebrate the end of the first Molentuin season.
From 15.00 to 16.00, there’s a private event for the garden group. They gather the final harvest from their garden to make ‘stone soup’, a dish that brings together the last of the harvest into a soup and symbolises collectivity, sharing and community. The idea for ‘stone soup’ was conceived by the artists’ collective 4Siblings, who helped to design the garden. Whilst making the soup, there’s time to reflect on the past season and look ahead to next year.
From 16.00 to 17.00, there’s a public event where everyone is welcome to come and enjoy some ‘stone soup’ and listen to the stories told by 4Siblings.

The opening of the Molentuin will take place at the former site of Werkplaats Molenwijk: the little red building between Paltrok and Handmolen. Werkplaats Molenwijk is now part of the new Framer Framed Noord site, a new project space for art and culture in Amsterdam-Noord where local knowledge, collective practices and artistic research come together.
All activities are free of charge. The working language is Dutch, with translations into English and Turkish available. This project is supported by the Stimuleringsfonds and the Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie.
