Refugee Company is a public benefit organisation that contributes to an inclusive society by supporting refugees to take an essential step toward social and economic independence by creating paid or voluntary jobs believing that the best way to integrate is through work. Through participating, people become more assertive and happier. Refugee Company also inspires society to be more open towards people with refugee backgrounds, show appreciation and help them in their search for a meaningful life in the Netherlands.
Participants start working in one of the ‘safe spaces’. As a result, they become active, gain experience and build a network. Language lessons, basic civic integration, personal development and well-being are all part of the programmes.
