Mídia NINJA

Mídia NINJA

Mídia NINJA is a free communication network that seeks new ways of producing and distributing information based on technology and a collaborative work logic. Mídia NINJA understands democratic communication as a human right and defends the public interest, cultural diversity and the right to information, making visible communication guidelines, identity causes, culture, environment, youth and others that dialogue with the challenges of the 21st century.

Mídia NINJA was founded in 2013 and gained notoriety during the June demonstrations that gathered millions on the streets of Brazil. On the occasion, Mídia NINJA  covered live from within the protests, with multiple points of view invisible in the traditional media. In 2016, it was one of the main resistance initiatives in the struggle to strengthen democracy in the midst of political instability. Today, the network engages more than 2 million supporters and around 500 people directly involved in supporting collective houses throughout Brazil.
