Saphira Nancy is an illustrator, animator, and performer from Guinea Bissau, whose work invites viewers into an ethereal realm where the boundaries between the visible and invisible dissolve. She has close to 15 years of experience as an illustrator and recently has been extending her work to other means of expression such as performance. More recent works include the poster design for the Human Film Festival (2024), illustrations for It’s OK…Circle 5: Not in Your Box, a performance made by the T-Huis at Oude Kerk (2023) and an opening body painting performance at Parallel’s Bixaria (2023).
