Dewi Sofia Dewi Sofia
Dewi Sofia is a cultural worker. She holds a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Leiden University College, Den Haag and completed her MA in Arts and Culture at Leiden University. At Framer Framed, she assists with research, production, and public programming.
Her interests are mostly found in the intersections of contemporary culture and politics, working within themes of gender, queerness, and anti-colonial resistance. As a cultural worker, her experience is in curating, writing, and research, integrating collective processes and social-justice driven perspectives in her practice. She is also involved in community-based projects which seek to (re)connect members of the diaspora to the history and political realities of Indonesia and the Philippines. Her projects are often centred on the imaginative possibility of reclaiming space and forming South-South connections to shake the matrices of coloniality.
Dewi Sofia was involved in numerous projects at Framer Framed. She was part of the production team for the exhibition Sensible Past: Of Distances and the Fabrication of the Frame (2024), was part of the research group for the exhibition Past Disquet (2025) and contributed to Framer Framed’s anthology Notes to Other Futures (2026), a publication commemorating the organization’s 15th anniversary.
