Azita Noroozi
Could you tell us about your background?
I am from Iran and I came to the Netherlands to study. I am studying International Business Management. When I started thinking about what I would like to do next, after I graduate, I realised that I have a passion for television and movies. So at some point I would like to become a producer. I like the idea of working behind the scenes, I enjoy being active and communicating with people, and I would like to be able to create something which can help and teach something to people.
Before that, there is a chance that I might become a teacher. I don’t know what I will be teaching but when I know something, I am good at teaching it to others. Besides studying, I like doing different things. For example, I go to the gym, try out different sports, I like going to museums, visiting different cities, seeing my friends. I like building and creating new things. I also enjoy watching a lot of TV shows.
When did you first become involved with Framer Framed and in what way are you involved?
I’ve joined Framer Framed in September 2014. I occasionally host the exhibitions and I go to the talks and other events.
Why did you decide to be part of Framer Framed?
I was searching on the Internet for volunteering opportunities, because I needed the credits for my degree! I came across Framer Framed on the Vrijwilligers Centrale website and I liked the idea of hosting exhibitions. So I contacted the organisation and then I went to a volunteers’ meeting where I met everyone and here I am now.
I really like volunteering at Framer Framed. I have made really good friends here. And I am always learning new things, seeing new Art, meeting new people from many different places, cultures and backgrounds, and learning about new cultures in a very different way than I am used to. It is a different world than what I was used to and because I like it so much I keep on volunteering.
