Conference: 5th International Conference on the Inclusive Museum
ICOM Barbados and the International Institute for the Inclusive Museum welcome you to the 5th International Conference on the Inclusive Museum. It will be held from the 2nd to the 5th of August, 2012 at The University of The West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in Bridgetown, Barbados. The emerging focus, but not the only one, of the Inclusive Museum Knowledge Community for this year’s conference is promotion of research and safeguarding of Diaspora heritage & cultural diversity.
Five significant volumes will be launched at the Fifth International Conference on the Inclusive Museum in Bridgetown, Barbados:

The Inclusive Museum Conference is held annually in different locations around the world. The inaugural Conference was held at the National Museum of Ethnology, Leiden, the Netherlands in 2008, the Second International Conference on the Inclusive Museum was held at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia in 2009, the 2010 Conference was held at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey, and the 2011 Conference was held at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.
We look forward to hosting you for another stimulating and case study driven conference along with a fun filled festival in 2012 in Bridgetown.
