Kamila Narysheva is a sound and media artist based in Almaty. Working with spatial sound, field recording and rule-based systems, she creates installations and performances that examine nuclear legacy, digital infrastructure and cultural memory in Central Asia.
Recent work includes T1/2 (Half-Life) (2024–2025), a collaborative sound installation with Vicky Clarke responding to the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site, and Prometheus Brought Fire (2024–2025), a multi-channel installation with scripted chatbot developed for the Goethe-Institut’s SOLITUDE platform.
She holds an MA in Curatorial Studies from Bard College and Smolny College.
