Amira Gad

Amira Gad is an Egyptian art curator and writer who was born in France and grew up in Saudi Arabia. She is currently based in Rotterdam, working as Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen (Rotterdam, the Netherlands). GadĀ is a prominent figure in the international art world with a strong background in curating large-scale exhibitions and working with renowned contemporary artists.Ā Previously held positions includeĀ KANAL-Centre Pompidou (Brussels),Ā Serpentine Galleries (London), and Kunstinstituut Melly (Rotterdam). Over the years, she has curated exhibitions by Ian Cheng, Sondra Perry, Arthur Jafa, Hito Steyerl, Zaha Hadid, Simon Denny, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, amongst others. She is a regular lecturer, juror and contributor to artistsā€™ catalogs and has edited a number of books on contemporary art.
