Iratxe Jaio and Klaas van Gorkum

Iratxe Jaio & Klaas van Gorkum are artists who have worked together since 2001 producing performances, videos, publications and installations. They have created projects that explore subjects as public and private spaces and the use of these spaces by individuals and collectives. Using documentation as their work methodology, they analyse and question social and political issues concerning the everyday. In their practice they analyse and question commonplace notions of authorship, cultural identity and labour relations. The artists also occasionally publish critical reflections on art, culture and social issues on their website Postpolitikak.
