Gorivana Ageza
During her undergraduate studies, Gorivana Ageza became a member of Sinesofia, a film discussion group at the Faculty of Philosophy in Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR). In 2015, she co-founded Bahasinema, a community that focuses on film exhibitions and studies, together with some friends from various campuses in Bandung. Since 2019, she has been working as a programmer for the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival. Additionally, she has been a jury nomination member for the short film category at the Festival Film Indonesia from 2021 to 2023.
After having obtained her graduate degree in Cultural Studies from Padjajaran University and in Philosophy from UNPAR, she is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy and also works as a film curator.
Crossroads/ Persimpangan is a short film screening programme she curated in collaboration with Bahasinema for the exhibition Sensible Past: Of Distances and the Fabrication of the Frame, a collaboration between Framer Framed, KITLV and the Integrated Arts programme at UNPAR, in Gedung Balai Pemuda in Surabaya, Indonesia.
