Planetary Poetics – Digital
€0,00
Planetary Poetics was a two year master’s programme at the Sandberg Institute, Amsterdam, that enabled participants to develop artistic research exploring key concepts of the ecological crisis, including questions of climate justice, land restitution and reparations, reproductive justice, and constellations of co-resistance. The 2025 exhibition at Framer Framed brought together the graduation projects of the participants who developed individual research projects alongside a large group of collaborators, including exchanges with Atelier Picha (DRC) and Futuros Indígenas (Milpamérica). Together, they have considered how to imagine alternative visions for this planet beyond extraction and extermination and how to hold space for the profound grief inherent to liberation work. Their practices offer critical and imaginative positions toward social and environmental crises – grounded in an engagement that allows space for different methodologies, experiences, cosmologies and beliefs.
The master’s programme Planetary Poetics was initiated and directed by artist Dorine van Meel in collaboration with Framer Framed, coordinated by Angelo Christiaan, and included the following tutors: Milena Bonilla, Ada M. Patterson, Chihiro Geuzebroek, Teresa Borasino, Rosa Marina Flores Cruz, Marnie Slater, Jorrit Smit, Jean-Sylvain Tshilumba Mukendi, and Kathy-Ann Tan.
