A Blueprint for Toads and Snakes – Digital

Framer Framed is happy to present the publication accompanying the solo exhibition by Sammy Baloji at Framer Framed, A Blueprint for Toads and Snakes, which is on show from 25 June – 26 August 2018. In the exhibition, artist Sammy Baloji (1978, Lubumbashi) presents a highly original commemoration of the painful history of exploitation and cultural formation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This publication features a curatorial essay by Vincent van Velsen, as well as important essays relating to specific artistic research interests by Sammy Baloji, contributed by Maëline Le Lay, Johan Lagae and Sofie Boonen.

Framer Framed presenteert met genoegen de publicatie bij de solotentoonstelling van Sammy Baloji bij Framer Framed, A Blueprint for Toads and Snakes, die te zien is van 25 juni – 26 augustus 2018. In de tentoonstelling presenteert kunstenaar Sammy Baloji (1978, Lubumbashi) een zeer originele herdenking van de pijnlijke geschiedenis van uitbuiting en culturele vorming in de Democratische Republiek Congo.
