Mirelle van Tulder\u00a0holds an MA in Fine Art and Design from\u00a0Werkplaats Typografie\u00a0(2021-2023) in Arnhem. She was a Research Associate at the Research Center for Material Culture, Wereldmuseum (2021-2023) and has worked as an image researcher for\u00a0MacGuffin Magazine<\/em>\u00a0from 2019-2023.<\/p>\n

She is the author of Catalog of Stolen Objects, Courtesy Of<\/em> (2024) and is the founder of the magazine and publishing house\u00a0Roots to Fruits<\/em><\/a>, which explores the intersections between music, archives, and resistance.<\/p>\n

In 2023, Mirelle van Tulder became the\u00a0Atelier KITLV-Framer Framed Artist in Residence<\/a>. Her practice delves into the colonial archive, seeing its complexity not only as an incredibly vast collection of objects and documents, but also understanding its position concerning personal history. As part of her residency, her work was shown in the exhibition\u00a0Sensible Past: Of Distances and the Fabrication of the Frame<\/em>\u00a0(2024) at Gedung Balai Pemuda in Surabaya, Indonesia and in Shapeshifters<\/em> at Framer Framed, Amsterdam (2025).<\/p>\n
