Framer Framed presents works by the transnational artist collective On-Trade-Off, as they explore how technological innovation is dependent on natural resources. Following the trail of lithium, beginning in Manono, Democratic Republic of the Congo, this exhibition delves into our relationship with energy – from its colonial past to its unequal technological future.

Op 23 februari 2023 opent bij Framer Framed de tentoonstelling Charging Myths van het transnationale kunstenaarscollectief On-Trade-Off. Zij onderzoeken de afhankelijkheidsrelatie tussen technologie en grondstoffen. De tentoonstelling volgt het spoor van lithium, beginnend in Manono, Democratische Republiek Congo, en analyseert o.a. onze relatie met energie: van het koloniale verleden tot de toenemende technologische ongelijkheid.
