Stanley Bremer is (1952) the director of the World Museum (Rotterdam) since 2001. From 1998 Bremer worked as the director of the Maritime Museum (Curaçao).
Bremer studied museology, exhibition design and didactic presentation at Leiden University. Before his museology studies, he gained broad experience, working as an independent graphical and product designer. After receiving his degree, Bremer held numerous positions in the cultural and education sectors.
Bremer was an art director and co-founder of project office Meeter & Bremer (Ede en Leiden), as well as a visiting professor at Leiden University's program for postacademic museum employees and its museology master's program.
